The Renmark Rowing Club looks forward to welcoming crews from across South Australia, interstate and overseas to the Wharf to Woolshed Long Row.
To be held on Winter Solstice, the event is open to all rowing boat classes. Crews will follow a 36km course upstream from the Renmark Wharf to the Woolshed Brewery at Murtho. Cruise past the popular sandstone Headings Cliffs and be captivated by the unique wildlife along this stretch of river.
A perfect blend of sporting, environmental and cultural tourism, this event is a unique way to see this stretch of the river - one stroke at a time!
The Woolshed Brewery is located north of Renmark and provides a truly unique Riverland experience. It is located on a picturesque backwater of the River Murray. The brewery itself is an old shearing shed, now turned brewery, which offers a range of brews and a selection of locally made goods to create your own platter.
Whilst the Riverland can experience some quite frosty nights in the winter months, we are blessed with calm, clear and sunny days at this time of year. Crews will be delighted to have the river to themselves with minimal traffic.
